My name is James Heighway. I am a physical therapist in the neighborhood who will be providing therapy services to the members of CrossFit Undeniable.
I have been a PT for 7 years and have always worked in orthopedics. My interests have always lied in sports medicine and working with active individuals who feel their performance and participation is hindered by musculoskeletal injuries. My professional philosophy is to provide top quality care based on the most up-to-date evidence; without unneeded modalities which do not serve a purpose in the long term goal of optimal performance and well-being.
What I admire about CrossFit athletes; everyone is in it together and we prop each other up to achieve a common goal, being the best you can possibly be. I believe this is what has drawn me to working with all of you as it is mirrors my own beliefs. I look forward to meeting all of you and getting in some great workouts.
As Socrates said, “No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”
A little about myself. I grew up in South Bend, IN and attended undergrad as well as obtained my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Indiana University. Go Hoosiers! Growing up I was a wrestler, played football, and even dabbled in rugby. My wife and I moved to Colorado 7 years ago to enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle. When I am not working I can be found running the trails of Standley Lake, strength training, trying not to hurt myself, hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and many other activities with my wife, 2 kids, and our loving dog.
