The first of the year provides a natural opportunity for reflection. It’s synonymous with fresh starts and resolutions – looking forward to all the things you want to accomplish, see, and do over the upcoming year. It also provides a great opportunity to look backwards at the memories you created over the past 12 months.
We wanted to take a moment to do just that – reflect back over all the awesomeness that was 2018 at CrossFit Undeniable.
First, a huge thank you to all of our members. You literally make this all possible
We shared two big changes for CrossFit Undeniable in January. Jeremey and Marissa became part owners, and we announced that we were moving into a new space in April. We’ve all been working together to make sure the CFU ship continues to run smoothly and grow some new programs (like our CrossFit Kids classes). It’s been a fun ride so far!
The CrossFit Open started! We invited anyone and everyone to join us for our Friday Night Lights events every Friday during the Open. Roughly 50-60 people showed up every Friday to cheer each other on and watch PRs happen. The Open is truly an inspirational time around the gym! It’s cool to see so much support and cheering from your fellow athletes.
We also had our annual Valentine’s Day WOD, featuring a speed dating workout of sorts.
The CrossFit Open finished up, and we had our grand finale for the last workout. We had vendors, food, giveaways, and tons of athletes to celebrate the last Open workout in our old location. We also celebrated all of the new PRs throughout March like this one:

This is what it looks like when you nail your first ring muscle-up during the CrossFit Open! Big congrats to our athlete Heather. Hard work pays off!! (P.S. She went on to hit several more 🙌) #hardwork #crossfitopen #community #intheopen #firstmuscleup #gymnastics #18point3
We officially started moving into our new space! While we moved all of the equipment on one or two days, the full move took about a month of work from dozens of people. We painted the walls, built a custom palette wall, laid the flooring, installed the rig, moved all the equipment in, installed a new sign…it was a lot. A HUGE thank you to everyone that helped make the move and the new space possible. We continue to be excited about the space and all the opportunities it provides!
We also hosted our first workshop in the new space – all focused around pull-ups.
We had our annual Memorial Day Murph WOD and a grand re-opening for CrossFit Undeniable in the new space. 70+ athletes attended our Murph event this year, which was amazing!
We started our CrossFit Kids program back up over the Summer and continued to run the class every Monday and Wednesday on an ongoing basis. Major kudos to Marissa and all of the CrossFit Kids parents for the work they’ve put in to make the program a huge success. The holiday-themed workouts have been a huge hit, and the program is certainly making a difference.
We also started another cycle of our CrossFit Endurance program with athletes learning proper running form and building a better aerobic base.
James Heighway and Marissa Palmer led a Bulletproof Shoulders workshop covering the ins and outs of shoulder injuries (and how to prevent them).
Finally, we hosted our 4th of July celebration on June 30th with athletes taking on Operation Red Wing – arguably the hardest workout we do all year.

What does community look like? A bit like a finish line tunnel cheering you on as you end a long, tough workout. Beyond thankful for the amazing people at CFU! . If you’re looking for a new approach on health and fitness, come join us! We might just change your life, and you’ll make some great friends and have an awesome time along the way. . #community #fitness #health #wellness #crossfit @crossfit @crossfithealth
Our CrossFit Endurance and Kids programs continued to roll on. We also hosted a CrossFit Gymnastics certification, and a small group of Undeniable athletes prepped for an upcoming GoRuck event getting together at 4AM to walk 15 miles with weight on their backs.
To celebrate the end of Summer, we had a Summer Field Day including games and a potluck-style lunch at Westminster City Park. We also introduced yoga to the schedule (thanks Gaby!) on a regular basis.
We ran a school supplies drive collecting markers, pens, pencils, paper, etc for schools in the area. Thank you to everyone that donated! There were some happy kids out there for sure.
Finally, a team of Undeniable athletes crushes the Ragnar Trail Relay in Colorado!
We hosted our first in-house nutrition workshop and challenge with two winners ultimately taking home $200. The challenge focused on the basics of nutrition and several key habits (tracking, eating whole foods, hydration, sleep, etc). Kudos to Brandon and Valerie for taking home the win!
We hosted a CrossFit Running workshop and both our CrossFit Kids and main classes participated in a Halloween workout. Our Kids class got into the spirit!
We also hosted our Powerlifting clinic, which kicked off our Powerlifting Cycle. Athletes dove deep into the technique around the squat, strict press, bench press, and deadlift. Everyone PRd throughout the six-week cycle. Ring that PR bell!
With November comes Thanksgiving, and our annual Earn Your Turkey WOD. We had a huge group this year, which was awesome to see. Everyone came together to celebrate Turkey Day with a bit of sweat before big meals and family time.
To celebrate the holidays, our CrossFit Kids class had a holiday-themed workout. Parents were encouraged to jump in as well, and the parent/kid duo worked together to complete exercises and build a snowman over the course of a workout.
The ladies of CrossFit Undeniable had a Beauties, Barbells, and Bubbles event – they went through a partner workout together and then celebrated 2018 with champagne and a potluck-style dinner.
We also hosted our annual 12 Days of Christmas WOD followed by a White Elephant Gift Exchange. We had over 65+ people show up for the workout to celebrate the holidays with a little sweat!
Finally, we ran a toy drive through CrossFit Undeniable – adopting kids for the holidays and delivering toys so they had something awesome to unwrap this year. Thanks to all of the athletes that helped out!
Phew! And, with that, we’ll put a bow on 2018. Don’t forget – we have our 2019 kickoff workout tomorrow morning at 9AM! We’d love to start 2019 with you.
Cheers to an awesome 2018 and an even better 2019!
