The past few months have been incredibly busy! We’ve had our Thanksgiving workout, holiday parties, “12 Days of Christmas” WOD, DT on New Year’s, and a ton more. We also wrapped up our December Attendance Challenge (congrats Kaitlyn!).
Looking ahead to January, we’re busy lining up workshops and a social gathering or two. More to come on both of those soon! However, we did want to provide a quick sneak peek on something new we’re starting in 2020 and the upcoming programming.
Take a peek!
We’re trying something new in 2020! Alongside weekly blog posts, we’ll be doing weekly(ish) Facebook Live sessions. You’ll see them posted on our public Facebook page every Monday morning. We’ll also be posting them to YouTube and stripping the audio out for podcasts.
The goal with these sessions is to answer member questions and dive into topics across all aspects of health including fitness, nutrition, mindset, goal setting, and more. You’ll see Zach and myself frequently, but we’ll also have special guests along the way.
Here’s the first one we did this past Monday!
Stay tuned for more on these soon and check out our Facebook page on Monday mornings around 8:30AM Mountain time as we go live!
In December, we retested “Speed Demon” and “Push Pull” along with our 1RM on the front squat and push press. We saw SO MANY PRs! It was absolutely incredible. In January, look forward to some additional testing including Fran, Diane, and the NCFit Baseline.
We’ll be shifting focus from our push press and front squat work to the snatch and clean and jerk. Expect to see 1RM attempts for those lifts in late January/early February.
Finally, expect some gymnastics skill work! You’ll find many workouts will either have a 10-15 minute skill session before the main WOD or an optional finisher focused on toes to bar, rope climbs, handstand walking, pull-ups, and muscle-ups.
We’re excited to watch everyone knock this month out of the park!
