Trevor joined CrossFit Undeniable back in early July. He’s been amazingly consistent since Day 1, typically at the 7AM class.
We wanted to learn more about his story including how he found CrossFit Undeniable and his background. Find out Trevor’s past and future career (helicopters are involved) and what motivates him to workout.
How did you find CrossFit and CrossFit Undeniable? What caused you to walk in the gym and try out a class?
One day, during the pandemic, I made a google search and simply comparing reviews of CU to other gyms. After finding reviews that outweighed other gyms’ reviews, I decided that CU was going to be my BEST option. That same afternoon I walked into the gym around 5:50 pm and was greeted by Todd. After a brief introduction, I asked to acquire a membership and even decided to do the WOD as I was already there! I did it in my casual wear which included chacos.
What was your first impression?
My first impression was the feeling of being welcomed without any negativity or judgement.
What kinds of fitness goals do you have for yourself? What’s keeping you motivated to continue coming in the gym?
First and foremost, I want to be able to be as active and generally pain free, as I was when I was young.
Second, I’d like to be proficient with all pull-up forms.
Third, I want to look good for anyone who wants to look.
If you had to come up with your favorite workout, what kinds of movements would be in it?
Not that I’m ready for it but something like Running, KB Swings and Deadlifts.
What are you up to outside of the gym (hobbies, family, friends, work, etc)?
I am currently a full-time student, studying physical therapy. I am still somewhat new to the area and only hang with my classmates or the 4 dogs and wife. I am currently unemployed, but I used to be a helicopter mechanic.
My last job was working for Arapahoe Basin Ski Area as a customer service professional. I snowboard a lot and like to get lost on the trails nearby for fun when I’m not studying. I want to go shooting more often and try fishing out here as well.
