Todd Hicks

Hey all, I’m Todd, and when I am not at CFU, I am molding the young minds of the next generation… scary thought, I know. I am a middle school P.E. teacher and Strength and Conditioning coach at a local middle and high school. I am Married to my wife Heather, who you will undoubtedly also see at CFU quite regularly. When I am not coaching on Saturdays we typically hit up the 4:30 or 5:30 evening classes. I found CrossFit, and actually started trying the workouts about three years ago, and they killed me… so naturally I thought, “I should do more of this.” We were living in Westminster at the time and that is how we came across CFU. The community was welcoming, the coaches were knowledgeable and safe, so we stuck around.
Certifications include: CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Level 2, Aerobic Capacity, and CrossFit Football
Rebecca Naeve

I grew up in California in the San Francisco Bay Area, and was quite the unathletic kid. I never played any team sports, but I rode horses and competed in the sport of Eventing (kind of like an equestrian triathlon) for over 20 years. I tried other forms of fitness off and on, but nothing really stuck or got me excited to go back to the gym. Eventually, I found CrossFit in November 2013, where my first workout was Fran — oddly enough, I decided that was fun and I should come back again the next day! That was the workout that finally made me a regular gym-goer, and I can confidently say CrossFit has changed my life in every way imaginable. I completed my L1 certification in 2014, and am also a certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist through NASM; I am very passionate about nutrition, food, helping people, and I love learning about all things fitness. I moved to Colorado in August 2017 and couldn’t be happier here (after adjusting to the altitude), and am very excited to continue developing myself as both an athlete and coach at CrossFit Undeniable!
Certifications: CF-L1, CF-L2, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Scaling Course, CrossFit Running, NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist
Spence Kemp

While serving in the Air Force, Spence discovered a passion for all things fitness. After separating from the military, he worked as a personal trainer for several years. While working at a conventional gym, he was intrigued by a video circulating the internet of the Hero WOD called “The Seven.” Having never done CrossFit before, and not having a coach to advise heavily scaling the workout, it took him 1 hour and 17 minutes to complete.
Freshly determined to improve, Spence began studying the sport of CrossFit. Within a few months of CrossFit (and after PRing “The Seven” at 27:15) he knew that his passion for fitness had evolved into a passion for coaching people through constantly varied functional movements performed at a high intensity.
Outside the gym, Spence can be found playing the piano and the guitar, stand up paddle boarding, and eating ground beef.
